The Good, The Bad & The Ugly

GOOD...
The last post was about lots of stuff, but most important was my new neice arriving on August 31st. I haven't actually gotten my hands on her yet, but I will in a couple of weeks. Here she is in all her glory...Miss Eden Joy!

Sunny is recovering well. I talked to her a couple of days ago and she had the 'Sunshine' back in her voice. On the homefront, not much change.

Kaela started school again, taking a few online courses. She seems to have quite a bit of homework, but isn't whining about it. She actually seems excited about it...funny how when it's your very own idea, you have a much more pleasant disposition!

BAD... Fernie had his epidural, but isn't feeling so hot these days, we're hoping that the second shot will not take as long to approve. I'm praying for the speedy approval, cause somedays he is mean and nasty as all getout!

UGLY... Emilee is a really good kid, but is a pain in my backside at the moment. She was on a very short, minimal restriction - just until she finished some work and had it signed off 3-4 days tops. So she calls for her dad and then very sneakily asks if she can go with her friends to MDs after school. He (not remembering she was on restriction) says that's fine, be home by blah blah blah. When he told me, I reminded him she was grounded. He was not happy, but we let her go. She did not forget, she specifically went around me to get to her dad. Leniency just walked out the door sistah. She is now grounded for a month which includes a stipulation that if she has missing any homework/classwork and it causes that grade to be a D or F for homework/classwork that week, she will receive an additional month for each class. We have never been that strict with her, because we've never had to. But, dammit anyway, to deliberately go around me to defy me and get one over on her dad well all that did was dig herself a fairly deep hole and piss us both right the hell off! Pretty sure that she won't be trying THAT trick again anytime soon!
