T Minus 12 hours

As per usual - I haven't been here in almost 2 months. Let's catch up bullet style...
  • Emilee finished History in summer school with a B in both semesters. This let's her take Photography in school this year.
  • She went to Gramma's house whenever she could outside of summer school and raised her camp money with her lemonade stand as she did last year.
  • Emilee went out to Tia's house in La Quinta for the 2+ weeks before camp. The temps there averaged 115! aack! That's a long time for her to be away.
  • Camp was the 1st of August-ish. Em and Rachie had a great time and they are looking forward to next year.
  • Emilee began her Sophmore year of high school August 10th. Photography seems to be a fave. All of her teachers seem to be quite likable.
  • Kaela decided to go back to school and has registered for 3 classes. Yesterday she was approved for financial aid which will allow her to remain in classes and not worry about how she's gonna buy those ridiculously expensive books! Fernie and I are proud of her for taking a step after being out for 2+ years now. She is quietly kicking herself in the ass for digging this hole for herself where school is concerned! No need to voice it...she is painfully aware. Hindsight, my sweet girl!

Now back to the title of the day:

T-minus 12 hrs...

After the struggle to become pregnant and subsequently carry a baby to term: a 2 and a half year fight which included 4 painful miscarriages at advanced stages in the pregnancy 2 fairly major surgeries...

Da da da daaaaa...

Tia, Rob & Rachie will welcome EDEN JOY at 7:30 tomorrow morning. Mom left this evening to go down there and be in the surgery with them tomorrow morning. I am sad to not be there but I would just be in the way at the house this week.

Rachie is also starting her sophmore year tomorrow at the same time her new baby sister is being born! She will be going to school and shuttled promptly to her mama's side as soon as school lets out. I think this is a very grown up decision - she knows that by the time they actually begin everything, then get mom all patched up, out of recovery and back to a room - she will be just about out of school...so no need to miss her first day and feel lost the next!

That's all the buzz from here for now. Don't you feel enlightened?

PEACE
