Last post, we were at Mom's house and enjoying being away from home a bit. We came back home Friday afternoon once mom was home and Emilee was ready to wrap up her lemonade business for the day. We did a bit of running and then landed at home and chilled for the evening. We just kinda layed low and relaxed, knowing full well that we needed to head back out to Mom's between 8 and 9 Saturday morning.
Saturday, Emi's sales were about 50 bucks, I believe. Lots of folks golfing on the 4th of July. Some are drinkin' beer but come over and give her a buck (or more!) anyway, just because they want to help her cause. Many of the golfers really remember her from last year and are happy to see her back at it again! Many have commented on how she's grown up over the past year and some tease her about traveling the world, or ask her how Paris was, etc.. She's not earning as quickly this year because she's in school right now, but she's doing just fine. She's only got 8 days of school left and then she'll charm them a couple more days each week!
For eats yesterday, we BBQd ribs, and I made some pasta salad and potato salad...yummo. Oh, and some fresh watermelon & pineapple cut up for dessert you could say. Fernie cooked the ribs and they were scrumptious. After dinner, we all played some cards and just enjoyed each other's company. This morning, because we are such early risers, and didn't want to overstay our welcome, we made sure all was cleaned up, left a note and headed home. Fernie's back was really whacked out so he hadn't slept much last nite...it feels good to be home!
I hope everyone's holiday weekend was enjoyable and safe!
God Bless America!
PEACE!
