I left off the last post talking about our snowstorm in December. Love those pics!
Fast forward to March... I turned the big 4-0! No biggie at all, really.
April swept in. A couple of days before Easter I felt a familiar nastiness in my chest. The same nastiness that was lurking in September and caused a 2 week hospital stay. Went for a chest xray and then promptly to the hospital. This time not so bad - only 2 days! Still felt like crap and had the roomate from hell! She was such drama and BS that the nurses stayed clear of our room because of her, so I felt like I was on a deserted island.
Fernie and I had planned to do some work in the yard that same weekend. So while I was gone, Fernie, mom, Margaret, and a handyman friend put up a 4 ft fence to keep the dogs out of the front. I had wanted this for so long so that we could have grass, flowers and veggies without the pooches bothering any of it. So once they got the fence dialed in, they planted our grass, and then a few different flowers, tomatoes and jalapenos all around the edges. I love it. I have pics, but they're from a few weeks ago and since then the growth has exploded!
It is so nice, I really do love it!
Fernie's birthday fell just before Father's day and Kaela decided that she was taking dad (me & Emi too) to Outback steakhouse! We sat and ate, visited and ate and then ate a little more! It was such a relaxed evening and we all thoroughly enjoyed each other's company!
Kaela has decided to go back to community college and has applied for financial aid. Kicking herself now for being a slackass a couple of years back, as she is realizing now that she only screwed herself and how!
Emilee chose to attend summer school to knock out sophmore history. After tomorrow, she has only 2 weeks (8days) remaining! So instead of having history this year, she will be taking photography and is pretty pleased about the swap.
Emilee and Kaela - you both make me and dad very proud!
More later or tomorrow.
PEACE!
