December already?

Jeezo. A month and a half this time, although not much was missed - as usual.
On the health front -
I went to the pulmonologist in early November to have my healing lungs reassessed. He promptly informed me that the regular pneumonia that was caked in both lungs continues to heal nicely, although it will not happen overnight. My breathing is definitely better than in September. Now the fun part. The black patch on my right lung...the great news is that it is not cancerous or anything. The less great news is that it is some other type of extra special pneumonia that will very probably take months to completely go away. Fantastic! I was sent packing with yet another inhaler and the ever popular oxygen. I have to have another CT scan 12/19 or after as this will be 3 mos from my very first one.
So here we are now. Most of the time I feel almost fine. I just get worn out pretty quickly, especially if I have the oxygen off. I am thankful - It could have been worse.

Fernie jacked up his back a good one at work on 10/15. Since then he hasn't worked and has been in therapy 3x a week. The doctor's office where they sent him is great. He sees a regular doc, chiropractor, and pt - all in the same office and every week. They have really been wonderful. On the other hand, we are now receiving a hundred dollars less per week and really struggling. This too shall pass.

Hopefully everyone had a great Thanksgiving. Ours was great. Fernie, the girls and I served at the Salvation Army as we have done for 5 years now. There was a pretty good turnout even though the weather was drizzly and chilly.
Afterwards, we went to mom's and had our Thanksgiving. mmm mmm good!

Friday we all went out to my sister's in LaQuinta (Palm Springs) for the weekend. It was gorgeous weather, low 80s I guess. And what a nice turnout - I think there were about 25 people on Saturday. Some camped out in tents, others just crashed on the floor in the house. This was my first real outing since I got sick in August, so I was tired and more than ready to come home on Sunday. (traffic really sucked all kinds of ass! duh!)

I miss my sister and Rachael terribly - and don't mind seeing Rob occasionally :0)!
All in all, it was a great weekend. Hope yours was equally enjoyable.
