Fresh veggies

In all the sickness of the last post, I almost forgot about some good stuff. We have a vegetable garden per say. It's spread out but a garden, nevertheless. We've got tomatoes, jalapenos, cantaloupe, corn, grean beans, cucumbers, zucchini and a few carrots. So far, we've gotten many delicious tomatoes and some jalapenos...to which I added an onion and made some killer salsa! mm mm good! Last week I picked our first good-sized zucchini. We got a recipe for a good beer batter and fried up very thinly sliced fresh zucchini and dayum if I didn't surprise my self! It was delicious and we all shared in the yumminess. The tomatoes are delicious in chunks and on top of cottage cheese or wedged and salted just like that!

Although the rest haven't produced viable veggies yet, they sure are fun to watch grow for now. I would recommend a tomato plant and maybe jalapeno plant for anyone. They are easy to care for and fun to watch! (and yummy to grub on!)

peace
