So, yesterday we had an earthquake centered about 50 miles+/- from here. It wasn't huge, considering some we've experienced in the past, but it was a doosey nonetheless. Emilee and I were watching a movie in my room when I asked her what the noise was - maybe a truck idling outside? And by the time I managed to repeat myself for her, we were jolted a good one after which we continued to rock and roll for some time. As soon as the first jolt hit, we reached for each others arm , said "here we go-we're allright" and road it out. It seemed to settle in the middle a bit and then as if it shook again and continued to roll some more. They say it wasn't that long, but we felt it for upwards of 45 seconds start to finish. It was plenty long enough for me, thankyouverymuch!
I was glad Emilee was home with me, for sure. Kaela and Fernie were both at work, and were mostly unphased by the whole thing. Oh - to take things in stride like they do!
Considering the rather mild magnitude of it all, NOBODY showed regular programming for many hours. No regular everyday news at all for a looong time, which was really annoying to say the least. Thank God for the very minor damage that some people and stores received. Physically everyone seemed to fare very well!
Anyway that was my update for yesterday - a day late. (story of my life!)
PEACE
