The dentist had recommended that we get to an orthodontist to be checked out, due to overcrowding, fangs, etc..
Most insurances don't pay diddly squat for braces. Some offer a so called 'discounted price' if you're lucky. So the criteria for our ins to pay was on a points basis. She needed at least 26pts to be considered. They did their x-rays, exam, evaluation and when all was said and done....her poor mouth is so jacked up that she had 28pts without even trying! They moved her to a treatment chair and did her impressions right there on the spot! She will wear them for two and a half years. So that 28pts qualifies her and we're just waiting for the official letter of approval. This is the most wonderful news, because we knew she had some serious problems with her teeth, but there was nothing we could do about it. Even the payment plan of $99 was nowhere close to being within our reach at this time.
Emilee is so excited to get her braces and Fernie and I are just over the moon excited for her!
