Seasons Change

Apparently, I am only capable of posting once per season. So, since the last post was in winter it must be time for the Springtime 411! Betcha can't wait!

Early in the year, Sunny (my sis) announced that she was pregnant again. (after two very early miscarriages last year) Things were going well until Valentine's weekend. She and Rob were at Rob's folks' house. She went into labor and it could not be stopped. She painfully labored and delivered a 20+ week stillborn baby. This was the most painful thing for Sunny, Rob & Rachael. They remain strong in their faith and believe that they will be blessed with a healthy, strong baby in God's time. Sunny has got to get herself completely healthy before they even think of trying again.

Then, about 6 weeks ago Sun was rushed to the hospital again. Ginormous kidney stones. She was sent to a specialist who did several tests and 2 ultrasounds before declaring that she would need surgery. Apparently, her stones had to get all dramatic and imbed themselves in some tubes somewhere. So the surgery was done and a stent left in to help the small stones to pass. Mom and I stayed with her for a few days until Rob was back in town. I hate that she has had this crappy couple of weeks and has been in such pain from the surgery. But I have to admit...I loved being able to be with her, helping to nurse her back to health, and just basically being able to see with my own eyes when she was or wasn't doing well. (BONUS!!! Getting to wrap my arms around my Rachael-girl and love her up! Man o man do I miss that sweet girl!)

Okay, I've had enough of myself for now. There are many things to post about, but I am going to try and break it up a bit.
