After the Party

Our friends and neighbors across the street (Ron, Maria, Alex, Cindy & Rey) had a party yesterday. And a party they did have! Maria was a Madrina (sponsor, if you will) for her nephew's first communion. Emilee went and had a great time since she goes to school and is good friends with the girls (Alex & Cindy).

Anyway...we saw them setting up in the AM. Getting a couple of BBQs ready, several ice chests, lots of soda, water and FOUR 30 packs of beer...just to begin! And all in all, it ended up to be pretty tame, surprisingly quiet even!

Fernie and I just hung out here, but the girls brought over a plate of carne asada tacos for each of us. Ron and Maria hired two taqueros/taquistas to prepare real taqueria tacos. OMGosh....they hit that one out of the park! If you've never been to an authentic taqueria, you don't know what you're missing. Each taco had 2 mini tortillas, loaded with meat, onion, cilantro, salsita, and guacamole. Sounds yummy, right?!

Okay, the question of the hour/day... Do they recycle? Emi was there but said she couldn't tell for sure if they did or not. So I told her to ask the girls when they walked to school this morning. I haven't seen Ron or Maria out yet this morning, but since there were people there until very late, I suspect they'll be laying low today. (Hopefully not hanging too badly!) We recycle all the time-it helps pay our bills. So if they won't be recycling all those beautiful cans...we are all over it! We'll have to be done this evening, since trash day is tomorrow.
Here's hoping the recycling gods are smiling upon us today!!

Hasta pronto.
PEACE
