Jeezo, how is it that another month has gone by since I posted last? Beside the fact that we still do not have internet back at the house yet. I suck at posting right now and hopefully that will improve soon!

Not much going on in our exciting lives anyway, really. Fernie's still out of work and that's getting really old. We've been recycling quite a bit lately. My mom lives in a little community that has it's own beach, park and golf course. So we cruise over to the beach about 5 or 5:30am, see the most beautiful sunrises and collect water bottles and cans while we're there. We are usually back home by about 6:30 and have had some outstanding results! In one weekend (Sat, Sun & Mon) we made $60! I guess people in this bougie little neighborhood don't like to save their cans or bottles! Beautiful sunrise over the water, a little exercise, AND free money! Works for me! And it has helped out with food and bills, what's not to like?!

I had a doctor appointment this week that the state sent me to. I guess it's yet another step in this whole SSI/perm disability appeal thing. The entire process is just exhausting. I am thankful to have attorneys helping to handle it this time around. You've probably seen or heard the ads on TV or radio for 'Binder and Binder' - well that's who is representing me. So far they've been really helpful and friendly...even when I'm overwhelmed and struggling to hold it together!

Emilee is still down at my sis' in Indio. She is helping to teach the wee ones in the youth ministry at church and just enjoying spending time with tia and Rachie (and Rob too). She and Rachie are trying to earn money to go to summer camp for a few days with the church. $250 with dad not working is going to be next to impossible, but we will figure it out one way or another. I miss her but am glad she's enjoying her summer - and I think it's good for Rachael too, since they just moved there and she doesn't really know anyone yet.
We'll get to see them next weekend. My BIL (Rob) has planned a little surprise party for Sunny next Sat the 21st. (her b-day is the 23rd) Mom, Fernie, aunt Margaret & me will ride down there together Saturday morning. Rob will take Sunny to brunch or something and we'll get stuff set up. Kaela and Michael will come down after Kae gets off work, a couple of more aunts & cousins will make the drive out, and I'm sure some friends from church as well, so it should be a good time! I miss her terribly since she moved out there, especially now that she's preggers - I wish I could see her more! She is going to be so surprised and soooo happy! I know she misses us too!

We're here at mom's now. We're spending the night here tonight and tomorrow we're gonna head down to Margaret's in Newport Beach and eat, drink, play cards, probably hit the beach for a bit and cruise back home on Sunday. Should be fun. Not to mention it's less than 100 degrees down there which will be a welcome change! It was 112, 110 most of the week last week. This week's been hovering around 100. 80 sounds deeeelightful! Kaela doesn't have to work tomorrow so she's kickin' around the idea of coming along. I hope she does.

Well that's it for now - what a sad and boring existence, I know! I'm off to try and catch up on some blog reading!
