Saddest news first. Sunny lost the baby again. She had come up here with the girls for some work stuff on Thursday morning. We didn't know she'd be in the area, but we all ended up together for lunch at Applebees which was a nice surprise and a good visit. She decided to stay up here for the night and we'd all have dinner together and hang out. By the evening she wasn't feeling so great and by morning she was straight to the hospital in excruciating pain and bleeding. Fernie, Emi and I met Mom, Rachie and Sunny at the hospital and stayed until late in the afternoon. Seeing my little sister in such pain and sorrow was simply heartbreaking. All I could do was hold her and cry with her and pray when I saw her. It took Rob a couple of hours to get here from Irvine, but he was back with her all day, only coming out to give us periodic updates. Drs finally decided to admit her that evening and do a D&C Saturday morning. She was released and back to mom's Saturday evening.
Fast forward to now.......She is back home in Indio, With Rob and the girls and doing as well as can be expected. I allowed Emilee to go back with them on the condition that she be extra helpful and vigilent in reminding her Tia to rest as much as she can. I also think it's helping Rachael not to worry too much with her cousin there to keep her occupied. They are the best of buds, those girls and love each other to pieces.
Some good news in all of this, Sunny and Rob love the dr they saw and will be making the trek up here to see him for all ob/gyn stuff now.He will be treating a large fibroid they found and helping her to be in good condition before they try again. Sunny is thrilled!
So, because all this happened the day before her big surprise party, some scrambling was done and everybody contacted. We did not tell her, because in a few weeks when she is better up to a crowd, we will reschedule it. I know she will be floored!
More good news: Emilee and Rachael will definitely be going to youth camp with the church next Friday. They'll be having a fundraiser after both services this week. I know God will provide even though my own mind wants to stress and freak out about us not having enough for Emi to go.
Good news continues...Kaela is moving out on her own with a girlfriend. They've agreed to finish out a lease for someone through January. Her rent will be almost 3x what she pays now but utilities are paid and I think she will do great! She makes plenty of money, she will just need to budget. I am nervously excited for her, as is dad. We are both comforted by the fact that it is a decent area and neighborhood. It just happens to be across from the tract of homes that he's built over the last 3 years. Fernie would have been elated to say that his baby was moving into one of the homes that he built but she missed it by a block! We are happy for her nonetheless, she will be 20 in October and she makes us proud!
Now for all the prayers that she doesn't get TOO carried away with the new sense of freedom, because although she has been 'on her own' for 2 years now, she will now really be ON HER OWN! And gramma will not be her roomate! oy ve
Okay okay, enough with this boring chapter. I'm off to ride out to Barstow with mom while Fernie stays and works on replacing her facia board here at the house.
Have a beautiful weekend!
Peace.
